Editorial Services for Kidlit Authors

Bringing a book to life was never meant to be a solo journey. Whether you’re writing a picture book, middle grade story, or young adult novel, I’m here to walk alongside you with encouragement, insight, and editing support every step of the way.

Welcome!

I'm Laura, and I'm so glad you're writing for kids.

It's a process that's fun, incredibly challenging, and more important than ever.

I’ve loved children’s books for as long as I can remember—and (maybe like you!) I’ve never quite grown out of them. As a Kidlit editor, I draw upon my unique experiences as a teacher, writer, musician, and mom who has been ever surrounded and bolstered by books.

What drives my work as an editor most of all is my deep belief that the right book at the right time can truly change a child’s life. It can help them feel seen, give them laughter or comfort when they need it most, spark curiosity, or gently guide them through a tough situation . . . in short, giving them just what they need to grow more fully and comfortably into themselves.

I love being a part of making your book into that book for them—the very best it can be. A book that makes a difference. A book they carry with them forever.

Services I Offer

. . . whether you're writing for small kids, big kids, or kids so big they would scoff at even being called "kids."

“As an author, I’d heard (and experienced) horror stories in finding a qualified editor. From page one, it was absolutely clear that Laura’s knowledge, qualifications, and passion made her a trustworthy person to share my book with. She was encouraging, thorough, and complimentary, and kept my vision for the story at the forefront of the necessary changes she made. My book debuted as an Amazon Best Seller, and I attribute that success largely to the phenomenal experience of working with Laura!”
